About County List

County List was conceived over dinner at a local restaurant which had no website or any directory presence. It had not been easy to find!

Having returned to my native Wales a few years ago, after a career in London during which time 'the internet' was invented, I had been trying to find out online what local services where available. From where to find a nice restaurant to such mundane things as a local dentist, or where to get a car MOT'd!

It was clear that the internet wasn't going to help very much, and the only online directories we could find, covered too wide an area with only partial and often out of date listings. Probably because they were too complicated for businesses to keep them up to date.

So we decided to create something easy and free for local businesses to get their message onto the internet.
